Mathers earns USA South Golfer of the Week recognition

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon junior Drew Mathers was recognized with the release of the USA South Golfers of the Week on Wednesday.

Mathers was named the Golfer of the Week for his performance in the O'Briant-Jensen Memorial on Monday and Tuesday. Mathers won medalist honors with 4-under-par 138 in the two-round event. He shot a 2-under 69 in each round.

The win was Mathers' first of the season and the second of his Huntingdon career. Mathers shot par-or-better nine times in 14 rounds during the fall, including his past four rounds. During those final four rounds, Mathers shot his best collegiate round of 69 three times.
