Mathers ties Huntingdon record with win in NCAA Fall Preview

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – Huntingdon senior Drew Mathers fired a career-best round on Sunday to close out the NCAA DIII Fall Preview and win the tournament by four strokes.

Mathers shot a 6-under-par 66 in the final round and finished the three-round tournament with a 6-under 210 to win his fifth career tournament as a Hawk. The five career wins ties Huntingdon's NCAA-era record for wins set by former All-American Chase Blaich.

Mathers' final-round 66 was two strokes off the Hawk's NCAA-era record of 64 set by former Division III Golfer of the Year Addison Lambeth. Mathers' 6-under is tied for the most strokes under-par in a single round by a Huntingdon golfer during the NCAA era.
