B-Team Hawks in 2nd entering final round of Chick-fil-A Invitational
ROME, Ga. – The Huntingdon B-Team shot an even-par 288 in the first round of the Chick-fil-A Invitational at Stonebridge Golf Club on Monday.
The B-Team Hawks are three strokes out of first and in second entering Tuesday's final round. The LaGrange College varsity leads the 19-team tournament with a 3-under-par 285.
Four of the Hawks' top five and one individual are within six strokes of first. Senior Alex Aulerich led the B-Team with a 1-under 71 and is four strokes off the lead and tied for third.
Junior Ben Harris and sophomore Cam Page are five strokes out of first and tied for ninth at even-par 72 and sophomore Cody Argade is six strokes out of first and tied for 14th at 1-over 73. Playing as an individual, freshman Grant Gronka is also six strokes off the lead and tied for 14th at 1-over 73.
Walters State's Andrew Linkous leads the tournament with a 5-under 67.
Rounding out the Hawks' top five, sophomore Walker Hinds shot a 7-over 79. Playing as individuals, freshman Dylan Webb shot 4-over 76 and freshman Ethan Unverzagt shot 7-over 79.
Coming Up: The Huntingdon B-Team will play in the final round of the Chick-fil-A Invitational on Tuesday.
