FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Four Huntingdon golfers were recognized with the release of the USA South All-Conference golf awards on Thursday. Juniors Mark Connelly and Stephen Shephard both earned first-team All-Conference honors, senior Jon Colten Stanaland was a second-team selection and sophomore Drew Mathers was named honorable mention. Stanaland was also named to the All-Sportsmanship team.

STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Senior Jon Colten Stanaland won his first collegiate tournament and junior Mark Connelly finished second to lead the Huntingdon men’s golf team to a second-place finish in the Emory Invitational on Sunday. Stanaland, who shot his best collegiate round on Saturday with a 3-under-par 67, followed up with an even-par 70 in the final round to finish with a 3-under 137. Connelly shot a 2-under 68 in the final round and finished two strokes behind Stanaland with a 1-under 139.
STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Senior Jon Colten Stanaland fired his best collegiate round and the Huntingdon men’s golf team shot its second best round of the spring in the opening round of the Emory Invitational on Saturday. Stanaland turned in the Hawks’ best round of the fall and spring season with a 3-under-par 67. He leads the field by a stroke entering Sunday’s final round at Smoke Rise Country Club. The second-ranked Hawks shot 5-over 285 and are in first place by one stroke.

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Sophomore Drew Mathers earned his first collegiate win and the second-ranked Huntingdon men’s golf team placed second in the Wynlakes Intercollegiate on Tuesday.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The second-ranked Huntingdon men’s golf team shot a 5-over-par 293 in the opening round of the Wynlakes Intercollegiate on Monday. Entering Tuesday’s final round, the Hawks lead the 16-team tournament by three strokes. Emory is second with an 8-over 296 and Wittenberg University is third with an 11-over 299. The Huntingdon B-Team is ninth with a 313.
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team climbed five spots in the final round and placed third in the Jekyll Island Invitational on Sunday. Huntingdon, which was in 12th after Round 1 and eighth after Round 2, fired a season-best 6-under-par 282 in the final round. The second-ranked Hawks finished the tournament with a 5-over 869.
JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – The Huntingdon men’s golf team shaved 13 strokes off its first round score and shot a 1-under-par 287 on Saturday in the second round of the Jekyll Island Invitational. Entering Sunday’s final round, the second-ranked Hawks are 13 strokes out of first and in eighth place with an 11-over 587.
