Huntingdon lacrosse loses to Millsaps

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Brandon Sewell scored twice and four other Hawks scored once, but Millsaps took a 10-6 win on Saturday at Samford Stadium.

Huntingdon's first-year men's lacrosse team is 4-4 after eight games.

Huntingdon's Gavin Carey scored the first goal of the game with a little more than five minutes left in the first period. It was the Hawks' only lead.

Millsaps (1-4) took a 6-3 lead into the half and led 9-3 early in the fourth period.

Sewell had an assist and 10 ground balls to go with his two goals. Carey, Michael Brunick, Devin Binnings and Mickey Reville each scored once. Ryan Rees had an assist and five ground balls. Ryan Huguenel and goalie Spencer Nix each recorded five ground balls. Nix had nine saves.

Huntingdon travels to play Shorter on Monday at 5 p.m.
