Huntingdon men’s lacrosse picks up first win of the season

CONWAY, Ark. – Freshman Davis Dalton scored three goals and junior Mike Kazmarik scored two to lead the Huntingdon men's lacrosse team in an 8-4 win over Hendrix on Friday night.

The road win was just the second in the history of the second-year Huntingdon program.

The Hawks (1-1), who never trailed in the game, led 3-2 at the half and outscored Hendrix (0-2) 5-2 in the second half.

Matt Bowes, Gavin Carey and Jakob Works each scored once for Huntingdon. Carey, Tyler Campbell and Brandon Sewell each had two assists and Bowes and Works each had one assist. Sewell also had eight ground balls.

Goalie Fabien Gutierrez recorded 18 saves and seven ground balls.

Huntingdon plays at Rhodes on Sunday at 1 p.m.
