Huntingdon men’s lacrosse falls at Aurora

AURORA, Ill. –The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team lost to Aurora University 15-8 on Wednesday.

Second-year Huntingdon (6-6) trailed 6-3 at halftime, but Aurora scored five straight goals in a little more than four minutes to take an 11-3 lead late in the third period.

The win was the sixth straight for Aurora (6-3), which scored 30 goals in its last game and 104 goals in its previous four games.

Jakob Works and Anthony Rovetto each scored two goals for Huntingdon and Mike Kazmarik, Brandon Sewell, Davis Dalton and Gavin Carey each scored one goal. Sewell also had three assists, six ground balls and won 10 faceoffs. Dalton had the Hawks' other assist. Works and Matt Bowes each had two caused turnovers.

Goalie Fabien Gutierrez finished with 27 saves and six ground balls.

Huntingdon hosts Southwestern University on April 7 at 11 a.m.
