Huntingdon men’s lacrosse loses at Berry

ROME, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team battled Berry to a tie at halftime on Saturday, but the Vikings pulled away in the second half for a 13-4 win.

Jakob Works scored two goals in the first half as the Hawks (1-2) entered the second half tied 2-2. Berry (1-0) scored four goals in the third period to pull ahead and scored seven goals in the final nine minutes of the game.

LaDarius Williams and Mike Kasmarik scored Huntingdon's other two goals. Williams also had four ground balls. Brandon Sewell won 7-of-13 faceoffs and had seven ground balls. Ryan Steele had two caused turnovers.

Goalie Fabien Gutierrez recorded 19 saves.

Huntingdon returns to action at home on March 1. The Hawks host Millsaps at 4 p.m.
