Huntingdon men’s lacrosse falls to Greensboro

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team played Greensboro evenly into the second half on Saturday but the Pride pulled away to beat the Hawks 19-10.

Huntingdon (6-4) trailed 10-7 with 8:46 left in the third period before Greensboro scored nine straight goals. The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for Huntingdon.

Brandon Sewell had five goals, 11 ground balls and won 5-of-12 faceoffs to for Huntingdon. Jakob Works added three goals and Patrick Messenger and Mike Kasmarik each scored once.

Brandon Scheele won 10-of-18 faceoffs and Tyler Campbell had two caused turnovers.

Goalie Fabien Gutierrez finished with 11 saves and 19 goals allowed.

Huntingdon travels to Centenary on Monday for a 7 p.m. game.
