Hawks can’t find an answer for Otterbein

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team gave up seven goals in the first half and lost to Otterbein University 13-4 on Thursday.

Otterbein (3-1) is coming off back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances the past two seasons.

Kendrick Ballard, Davis Dalton, Alex Cook and LaDarius Williams each scored one goal for the Hawks. Brandon Sewell had one assist. Brandon Scheele was 8-for-15 on faceoffs and had four ground balls. Glen Troxell also had four ground balls. Chad Ronk finished with two caused turnovers.

Goalie Fabien Gutierrez started the game and had four saves and seven goals allowed in 30 minutes. Kristian Smith started the second half and had four saves and six goals allowed in 27:27. Fuller Parker finished the game at goalie.

Huntingdon hosts Rhodes on Saturday at 2 p.m.
