Men’s lacrosse falls behind early in loss to Berry

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team lost to Berry College 15-6 on Saturday afternoon.

Berry (4-2) scored the game's first goal a little less than 80 seconds into the game. The Vikings scored nine straight goals in a span of 16 minutes in the first half to take a 10-1 lead late in the second quarter.

Brandon Sewell led Huntingdon (2-7) with three goals and nine ground balls and was 12-of-19 on faceoffs. Davis Dalton, LaDarius Williams and Kendrick Ballard each scored one goal for the Hawks.

Goalie Fabien Gutierrez started the game and recorded eight saves and allowed 10 goals. Goalie Kristian Smith played the second half and finished with two saves and five goals allowed. Defender Glen Troxell had four caused turnovers.

Huntingdon returns to action at home on Monday at 7 p.m. against Benedictine.
