Men’s lacrosse rolls by Oglethorpe

ATLANTA – Huntingdon's men's lacrosse team defeated Oglethorpe University 19-4 on Wednesday night.

Huntingdon pushed its season record to 3-2 on the season while Oglethorpe falls to 0-4.

The Hawks scored three goals in the first quarter, nine in the second and seven in the third. Huntingdon allowed one goal in the third quarter and three in the fourth.

Complete stats were not available Wednesday night.

The Hawks had 14 players register at least one point in game.

Karson Hastings had a game-high five points with one goal and four assists while Brandon Scheele led Huntingdon with four goals. Kendrick Ballard added four points with three goals and one assist.

Zach Barnhill and Caleb Bohrer each finished the game with two goals and one assist. Miles Stading scored one goal and had two assists.

Huntingdon had six players with one goal scored. Sam Hitt finished 15-of-17 at the faceoff x and scored one goal.

Matt Murphy played the first 30 minutes of the game in the cage and allowed zero goals.

The Hawks host Rhodes College on Saturday for a 1 p.m. matchup.
