Huntingdon holds off Little Giants

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team scored five second-half goals to spark a 7-6 win over Wabash College on Tuesday night.

The Hawks trailed 3-2 at halftime but answered with three goals in the third quarter and two goals in the fourth quarter. Huntingdon led 5-3 after three quarters and built a 7-4 lead in the final quarter. The Little Giants scored twice in the final five minutes of the game but the Hawks were able to hang on for the victory.                           

Adrian Harper had two goals, an assist, two caused turnovers and seven ground balls for Huntingdon and Zach Barnhill had one goal and two assists. Bryce Coates scored two goals, Sam Hitt and Austen Saucier each scored one goal and Brayden Puckett had one assist.

Hitt also had 14 ground balls and was 14-for-17 on faceoffs. Tyler Keiser finished with three caused turnovers and Mac Puller had two caused turnovers and five ground balls.

Goalie Matt Murphy recorded nine saves and allowed six goals in 60 minutes.
