Huntingdon loses to Centre

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team fell behind in the first half and could not overtake Centre in a 12-6 loss on Monday.

The Hawks kept the game close and did not trail by more than three goals until the final 19 minutes of the game. But each time Huntingdon cut into the lead, Centre answered. The Colonels pulled away with three unanswered goals in the final 9:14 of the game.

Adrian Harper and Bryce Coates each scored two goals for Huntingdon. Harper also had one assist. Austen Saucier and Seth Howe each scored one goal and Zach Barnhill and Mac Puller each had one assist. Puller and Carmen Fuentes each had three ground balls.

Raymond Edwards won three faceoffs, picked up five ground balls and caused two turnovers. Tyler Keiser won four faceoffs and Mike Jones had two caused turnovers.

Goalie Matt Murphy had 13 saves, 12 goals allowed and four ground balls in 60 minutes.
