Hawks roll past Oglethorpe

ATLANTA  – The Huntingdon men's lacrosse team took control early and beat Oglethorpe 17-4 on Wednesday night.

With the win, Huntingdon improved to 8-0 all-time against the Stormy Petrels.

Bryce Coates, Mac Puller and Adrian Harper each scored two goals in the first half as the Hawks built a 6-0 lead at halftime.  Huntingdon put the game away in the third quarter and took a 14-1 lead early in the fourth quarter.

The Hawks scored seven goals in the third quarter with Coates and Seth Howe each scoring three goals and Zach Barnhill scoring one. Cole Foster's goal in the first minute of the fourth quarter made it a 13-goal lead.

Coates and Howe each scored five goals, Puller and Harper both finished with two goals and Barnhill, Paul Gordon and Foster each scored one goal. Barnhill had three assists, Austen Saucier had two assists and Gordon and Carmen Fuentes each had one assist.

Will Syme was 7-for-10 on faceoffs, Tyler Keiser was 5-for-9 on faceoffs and Raymond Edwards was 3-for-6 on faceoffs. Syme finished with four ground balls, Keiser had seven ground balls and Edwards had five ground balls.

Goalie Matt Murphy had 17 saves and four goals allowed in 60 minutes.
