HUNTINGDON MEN'S SOCCER TIES PIEDMONT

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team scored twice in the final 16 minutes to force overtime and Jordan Osborne made a save in overtime as Huntingdon tied Piedmont 2-2 on Saturday.

Trailing 2-0, Rusty Cowley and Dallas Thomas each scored to force overtime. With 58 seconds left in overtime, Piedmont (3-5-1) lined up for a penalty kick. Osborne made the save to help the Hawks (0-7-2) avoid the loss. Osborne finished with eight saves.

"I'm very pleased with our performance," Huntingdon head coach Kevin Ray said. "We've still got a lot to work on, but we've made a lot of improvement. This was our best performance of the season.

Justin Whitaker and Sidney Smith scored Piedmont's goals.

Huntingdon travels to Spring Hill College on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. game.
