Huntingdon men’s soccer loses close battle with Hendrix

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team matched Hendrix for almost 90 minutes on Sunday. But the Warriors' Pedro Sagone scored with 17 seconds to play to give Hendrix a 1-0 win.

"We played really well against one of the better teams in the Southern Athletic Association," Huntingdon head coach Timmy McCormack said. "We hung with them for 90 minutes and we had some chances. Sometimes the ball bounces your way and sometimes it doesn't. Today, it bounced their way at the end. Regardless of the result today, I'm proud of the way we played."

Rhett Williams took three shots for Huntingdon (4-8-1). Williams, Jack Allen and Stacy Terry each had a shot on goal. Keeper Alex Brown finished with four saves in 90 minutes.
