Huntingdon men’s soccer loses to Rhodes

DECATUR, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team gave up two goals in the first half and two goals in the second half to lose to Rhodes College 4-0 on Sunday at the Jack Allen Soccer Complex.

The Lynx opened the scoring frame before a minute elapsed when Evan Wladis found the net for his first goal of the day. Wladis picked up his second goal on the day in the 13th minute to cap the scoring for the first half.

Jason Crutcher lifted Rhodes to a 3-0 margin in the 54th minute before he assisted Jonathan Fisher on the final goal of the day in the 64th minute.

Brendon Van Emelen led the Hawks in shots with three while Colton Savage and Rhett Williams each took two.

Huntingdon returns to action on Saturday at Maryville in a USA South Conference match at 5 p.m.
