DANVILLE, Va. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team fought hard against Averett University on Sunday and tied 0-0 in double overtime.

Keeper Alex Brown recorded six saves for the Hawks (2-6-4, 1-2-2 USA South). Brown ranks second in the USA South with 101 saves and an 85.6 save percentage.

Rhett Williams took three of Huntingdon's eight shots and five players registered one shot. The Hawks were not credited with a shot on goal.

"We had another great shift from the players," Huntingdon head coach Matt Williams said. "We did well to limit their chances and were rewarded with the shutout. We just didn't have enough quality in our final product to finish our chances."

The Hawks return to conference action on Wednesday at Covenant at 6 p.m.
