Men’s soccer drops conference game with Piedmont

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team gave up a goal in each half and lost to Piedmont 2-0 on Saturday.

The Hawks (2-8-4, 1-4-2 USA South) took 11 shots, including five shots on goal, and Piedmont (7-8, 4-3 USA South) took 10 shots, with seven shots on goal. Rhett Williams had two shots on goal for Huntingdon and Cam Smith, Spencer Brown and Ian Meadows each finished with one shot on goal.

Keeper Eathan Small made his first start of the season and recorded five saves and allowed two goals in 90 minutes.

Huntingdon returns to conference play at home on Saturday against conference co-leader N.C. Wesleyan (10-5-1, 6-2 USA South) at 1 p.m.
