MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team fought hard against North Carolina Wesleyan but fell 2-1 on Saturday. N.C. Wesleyan (11-5-1, 7-2 USA South) is third in the conference standings.
Dylan Wier scored on an unassisted goal for the Hawks (2-9-4, 1-5-2 USA South) in the 71st minute. Wier took two shots, including one shot on goal. Killian Delmore and Miguel Medina each had one shot on goal.
Keeper Alex Brown made eight saves and allowed two goals in 90 minutes.
Huntingdon hosts conference opponent Methodist University at Samford Stadium on Sunday at noon.
