196 Hawks named to USA South Academic All-Conference Team

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Nearly 200 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 196 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 16 athletic programs, were among the 1,684 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Women's basketball player Juliette Harp and men's golfer Addison Lambeth were recognized as the Huntingdon Female Student-Athlete of the Year and Male Student-Athlete of the Year during Wednesday night's Awards Ceremony.

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – Huntingdon senior Brendon Van Emelen was named honorable mention All-Conference with the release of the USA South Athletic Conference's men's soccer awards on Friday. Van Emelen is the first Huntingdon men's soccer player to be recognized since the Hawks joined the conference in 2013.

Brendon Van Emelen scored two goals in Sunday's loss to Greensboro. Van Emelen's second goal was his 12th of the season and set the Hawks' NCAA-era record for goals in a season.
