SEWANEE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team stepped away from conference play on Tuesday and battled Sewanee to a 2-1 loss.
The Tigers (5-4-1) scored the game's first goal at the 46:39 mark. Mac Puller tied the game 1-1 20 seconds later with an assist from Jean Jocelyn.
Sewanee held a 35-5 shot advantage over Huntingdon (1-6-1) and placed 11 shots on goal.
After nearly 40 minutes of scoreless play, Sewanee scored the game-winner with less than five minutes remaining.
Eathan Small recorded nine saves and allowed two goals.
Killian Delmore took two shots while Brendon Van Emelen added one shot. John Robert Lawrence placed his only shot on goal.
Huntingdon resumes USA South Athletic Conference play on Saturday at William Peace for a 1 p.m. matchup.
