139 Hawks earn USA South Academic All-Conference honors

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – More than 130 Huntingdon College student-athletes were recognized with the release of the USA South Academic All-Conference team on Monday. A total of 139 Hawks, representing each of Huntingdon's 18 athletic programs, were among the 1,446 USA South student-athletes named to the team.

Women's basketball player Juliette Harp and men's lacrosse player Sam Hitt were honored as the Huntingdon Female Student-Athlete of the Year and Male Student-Athlete of the Year during Wednesday night's Awards Ceremony.

Trey Hayes was named the Defensive Player of the Week for football, Amy Tyma was named the Rookie of the Week for volleyball and Kebba Jeng was named the Rookie of the Week for men’s soccer.
