Huntingdon rallies late to earn sixth win of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's soccer team scored four goals in the final 19 minutes to beat Mary Baldwin University 5-4 on Sunday.

With less than four minutes to play in the game, junior T.J. Fleming scored twice in a span of 25 seconds to tie the game and give Huntingdon the lead. Sophomore Kelan LeBlanc assisted Fleming on both goals.

LeBlanc, who broke the Hawks' NCAA-era season record for assists on Saturday, became Huntingdon's NCAA-era career assists leader on Sunday with his assist on the game-winning goal.

Huntingdon fell behind early, trailed 1-0 at halftime and 2-0 early in the second half before beginning to rally. Hunter Hall scored the Hawks' first goal on an assist from Fleming in the 58th minute of the game. Thad Lievens tied the game on an assist from Myles Cornett in the 72nd minute.

The Fighting Squirrels regained the lead in the 76th minute as the two teams combined to score three goals in a span of a little more than three minutes. Trailing 3-2, Lievens again tied the game with an assist from Austin Priemer in the 78th minute. Mary Baldwin scored to make it 4-3 in the 79th minute before the Hawks completed the comeback in the final four minutes.

Sunday's win was the sixth of the season for the Hawks. The six wins are the most for the program since 2007.
