Huntingdon men’s tennis picks up first win of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team set the tone in doubles and finished with a 7-2 win over Tuskegee University on Friday at the Gibbs Tennis Complex.

Sean Jackson and Zac Baldwin teamed for an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles and Larry Pritchett and Tyler Chaffee won 8-3 at No. 2 doubles as the Hawks (1-1) won all three doubles positions and four of the six singles positions.

Jackson and Pritchett also won in singles, with Jackson winning a three-set match at No. 3 singles and Pritchett winning in straight sets at No. 5.

Huntingdon won No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles by forfeit and No. 4 singles due to an injury.

Huntingdon returns to action on Feb. 25, hosting Oglethorpe.
