Huntingdon men’s tennis rolls past LaGrange

LaGRANGE, Ga. – Freshman Zac Baldwin won his third straight match, and his first match at No. 1 singles, as the Huntingdon men's tennis team beat LaGrange 9-0 on Wednesday.

Baldwin, who played one match at No. 3 singles and four at No. 2 singles in the Hawks' first five matches, stepped up to No. 1 against the Panthers. He won in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3. Baldwin also teamed with senior Sean Jackson for an 8-3 win at No. 1 doubles. Baldwin and Jackson are 4-2 this season. Jackson was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at No. 3 singles.

Tyler Creamer earned a 6-2, 6-3 win at No. 2 singles and paired up with Lee Howell for an 8-2 win at No. 2 doubles. Howell won 6-1, 6-2 at No. 4 singles.

Larry Pritchett (No. 5) and Tyler Chaffee (No. 6) singles both picked up 6-0, 6-0 wins for the Hawks (3-3, 2-1 Great South Athletic Conference).

Stacy Terry and Dylan Carr won 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

Huntingdon travels to Sewanee on Saturday.
