Huntingdon men's tennis has solid showing in USTA/ITA Regional

ATLANTA – The Huntingdon men's tennis team turned in a solid showing in this weekend's USTA/ITA South Atlantic Regional Championship Tournament.

Behind three wins from freshman Bobby Foroughian, three wins from junior Tyler Creamer and three wins from freshman Trey Pirtle, the Hawks won 13 singles matches.

Foroughian advanced to the semifinals of the B-draw before losing to Emory's Dylan Kady 6-2, 6-2. Creamer lost his first match in the B-draw, but came back to win three straight matches and win the B-draw consolation. Pirtle also lost his first match in the C-draw, but won the C-draw consolation with three straight wins.

Scores and opponents for the B-draw consolation, C-draw and C-draw consolation were not available as of Sunday.

Zac Baldwin and Larry Pritchett were both 1-1 in the B-draw. Tyler Chaffee lost his first match in the C-draw, won his next match in the C-draw consolation before losing to Pirtle in the C-draw consolation semifinals. Dylan Carr also picked up one win in the C-draw consolation.
