Men’s tennis earns 10th straight win, tied for 1st in USA South

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team took three doubles matches and three singles matches to knock off Piedmont 6-3 on Wednesday.

The win was the 10th straight for the Hawks and moved Huntingdon into a tie with North Carolina Wesleyan for first in the USA South Athletic Conference standings.

Huntingdon (12-2, 7-0 USA South) will host five-time defending conference champion N.C. Wesleyan (7-7, 7-0 USA South) on Saturday at 11 a.m.

Bobby Foroughian (No. 1) and Tyler Creamer (No. 5) won straight-set matches in singles and Sebastian Riveros Florez (No. 2) won in three sets. Foroughian improved to 12-2 at No. 1 this season, Creamer is 5-2 at No. 5 and 10-2 overall and Florez is 9-3 at No. 2.

In doubles, the team of Foroughian-Zac Baldwin picked up its 13th win in 14 matches at No. 1, the team of Meyer Schwartzberg-Florez improved to 9-3 at No. 2 and the team of Creamer-Tyler Chaffee remained unbeaten at 5-0 at No. 3.
