Men’s tennis wins fifth straight match

MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team won its fifth straight match and improved to 2-0 in the USA South with a 9-0 win over Maryville College on Saturday.

This was the fourth 9-0 win in the past five matches for the Hawks (5-3, 2-0 USA South).

In singles play, Bobby Foroughian (No. 1), Sebastian Riveros Florez (No. 2), John Jones (No. 3), Meyer Schwartzberg (No. 4), Trey Pirtle (No. 5) and Aaron Triplett (No. 6) each won in straight sets.

In doubles, the team of Foroughian-Jones won at No. 1, Florez-Schwartzberg won at No. 2 and Tyler Chaffee-Pirtle won at No. 3. Chaffee and Pirtle are unbeaten this season with a 7-0 record.

The Hawks host Greensboro College on March 28.
