Men’s tennis improves to 4-0 in USA South

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team won its seventh straight match on Sunday, defeating Averett University 8-1.

In singles play, The Hawks (7-3, 4-0 USA South) claimed five out of six matches. Bobby Foroughian (No. 1) needed three sets to claim a win, while Sebastian Riveros Florez (No. 2), John Jones (No. 4) and Zac Baldwin (No. 5) all won in straight sets. Aaron Triplett (No. 6) won by default.

In doubles play, the duo of Foroughian-Baldwin won at No. 1 and Meyer Schwartzberg-Florez won at No. 2. Tyler Chaffee-Trey Pirtle won by default at No. 3.

The Hawks play at Tuskegee on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
