Huntingdon downs Greensboro for sixth straight win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team won its third straight conference match and sixth straight match overall with a 9-0 win over Greensboro College on Saturday.

The Hawks (6-3, 3-0 USA South) have won five of their last six matches 9-0.

In singles, Meyer Schwartzberg (No. 2) and Justin McQueen (No. 5) each won 6-0, 6-0. John Jones (No. 3) and Zac Baldwin (No. 4) only lost one game apiece in their straight-sets victories. Sebastian Riveros Florez won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 and Aaron Triplett (No. 6) won by forfeit.

In doubles, the team of Schwartzberg-Florez won at No. 1 and Tyler Chaffee-Trey Pirtle won at No. 2. Jones and Baldwin won by forfeit at No. 3. Chaffee and Pirtle are 8-0 this season.

Huntingdon returns to action on Sunday, hosting Averett at 10 a.m.
