Men’s tennis opens John McWilliams Fall Invitational
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team picked up two wins on Friday during the first day of the John McWilliams Fall Invitational at Lagoon Park.
Entering the second day of the three-day tournament, Point University leads the five men's teams with seven points. Millsaps and Birmingham-Southern are tied for second at five points and Huntingdon and LaGrange are tied for fourth with two points.
In singles play, Huntingdon's Justin McQueen won a three-set match in the A draw. McQueen won 2-6, 6-1, 10-5. In doubles, the team of John Jones and Trey Pirtle won 8-4 in the A draw.
The tournament resumes on Saturday at 9 a.m.
