Hawks wins rain-shortened tennis match

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team defeated Division II Tuskegee 5-0 on Monday in a match shortened by rain.
In doubles play, the teams of John Jones-Trey Pirtle (No. 1) and Justin McQueen-Aaron Triplett (No. 2) picked up wins for Huntingdon. Ben Marler-Seth McClendon (No. 3) won by default.
In singles, Ben Marler (No. 5) won in straight sets. Huntingdon won the first set in positions No. 1-4, but the matches were called because of rain. Bailey Burns (No. 6) won by default.
Huntingdon (2-1) travels to play Ferrum on Saturday at 11 a.m.
