Men's tennis improves to 3-0 in conference play

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team improved to 3-0 in conference play with a 9-0 win over William Peace on Sunday.
In singles, John Jones (No. 1), Justin McQueen (No. 2), Aaron Triplett (No. 3), Trey Pirtle (No. 4), Ben Marler (No. 5) and Seth McClendon (No. 6) earned straight set wins for Huntingdon (5-1, 3-0 USA South).
Pirtle and Marler both won 6-0, 6-0.
In doubles play, the teams of McQueen-Triplett (No. 2) and Marler-Bailey Burns (No. 3) won 8-0 while the No. 1 team of Jones-Pirtle won 8-2.
The Hawks travel to Averett University on Friday and will play at 11 a.m.
