Hawks defeat Division II Spring Hill

MOBILE, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team beat Spring Hill 6-3 on Sunday.
Huntingdon (4-7) won one doubles match before taking five of six singles matches.
The No. 3 doubles team of Adam Self and Ben Marler gave the Hawks an early 1-0 lead before the Badgers (7-11) won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles to pull ahead 2-1.
In singles, Spring Hill won at No. 3 singles to extend its lead, but Huntingdon won the remaining five sets to take the win.
Bailey Burns won at No. 4, Mark Melchor won at No. 6, Marler won at No. 5, Justin McQueen won at No. 2 and John Jones closed the match with a three set victory at No. 1.
McQueen clinched the win with his 6-2, 6-2 victory.
The Hawks host USA South rival LaGrange on Wednesday at 2 p.m.
