Self helps Hawks earn first win of the season

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Sophomore Adam Self won a three-set match at No. 3 singles to help the Huntingdon men's tennis team clinch its first win of the season with a 5-4 victory over Brevard on Saturday.

The Hawks trailed 2-1 after doubles but rallied to win three singles matches and tie the score 4-4. In the deciding match, Self took the first set 7-5, lost the second set 6-3 and clinched the match with a 6-0 win in the third set.

Self and Ben Marler won 8-1 at No. 3 doubles. Mark Melchor (No. 4) and Marler (No. 5) each won 6-0, 6-1 in singles and Ethan Fuller (No. 6) won 6-4, 6-1.
