Huntingdon falls on Day 1 of Spring Break Tournament

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Huntingdon men's tennis team lost to Luther College and Loras College on Monday on the first day of the Spring Break Tournament.

The Hawks fell to Luther College 9-0 before losing to Loras College 5-4.

Against Loras, the Hawks won two doubles matches and two singles matches to take a 4-3 lead. Loras won the final two singles matches to earn the win.

In doubles, the No. 2 team of Bailey Burns and Mark Melchor and the No. 3 team of Adam Self and Ethan Fuller each won 8-4.

Self won 7-6, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and Melchor won 6-3, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.

Coming Up: Huntingdon returns to action on Tuesday in Orlando, Fla., against Mount St. Mary to close out the Spring Break Tournament.
