Belhaven Takes Down The Hawks
JACKSON,Miss.- Huntingdon men's tennis (1-8 overall) was taken down by the Belhaven Blazers(7-10 overall) 7-2 in a road matchup. See below for the full doubles and singles results.
Doubles
- Lane Young and Owen Wheelock were defeated by Abraham Gonzales and Justin Humphrey 8-3
- Sydney Frazier and Zach Cox were defeated by Jesus Diaz and Josiah Legett 8-4
- Cameron Reed and Lawson Pearson defeated Mark Breedlove and Mark Matview 8-4
Singles
- Abraham Gonzales defeated Lane Young 6-4 and 6-3
- Justin Humphrey defeated Owen Wheelock in tiebreakers with scores of 7-5 and 7-6(7-4)
- Zach Cox defeated Mark Matview in three sets, losing the first 6-3, but forcing tie-breakers with a second set win of 7-6(7-2) and a third set winning 7-6(7-4)Hayden
- Jesus Diaz defeated Sydney Frazier 6-4 in each set
- Mark Breedlove defeated Cameron Reed 7-6(10-8) and 7-5
- Hayden Cassiter defeated Lawson Pearson in three sets, dropping the first 6-4 but winning the second 6-3 and the tiebreaker 10-8
