Hawks compete in Montevallo Falcon Classic

MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Huntingdon men's and women's cross country teams returned to action on Saturday in the Montevallo Falcon Classic.

The Huntingdon men placed 13th in a 15-team division with a score of 407 and the women were 11th in a 12-team division with a score of 356.

The race featured a division for Division I teams and a second division for Division II, Division III, NAIA and junior college programs. In addition to Huntingdon, Division III programs Covenant, Piedmont, Berry and Birmingham-Southern competed in both races. Division III Rust College competed in the men's race, but not the women's race.

 

Notable: Division II Montevallo won both the men's and women's race. The men won with a score of 60 points and the women won with a score of 40 points.

Women: 22:49.43 (6K) – Katie Nelson, Montevallo
