Lady Hawks lose at Millsaps

JACKSON, Miss. – The Huntingdon softball team lost to Millsaps 2-0 and 12-0 on Wednesday.

The Lady Hawks (0-10) held Millsaps (8-5) to just three hits in Game 1 but the Majors took control in Game 2.

Junior Raina Lanier (0-5) took the loss in the first game, despite striking out five, walking one, scattering three hits and allowing two runs in a complete game. Lanier faced more than three batters in an inning just once.

Lindsey Selph (0-3) took the loss in Game 2. Amber Wade had Huntingdon's only hit in Game 1 and Maggie Porter had the Lady Hawks' lone hit in Game 2.

Huntingdon travels to Judson for a doubleheader on Monday. Game 1 is set for 3 p.m.
