Huntingdon women get back on track against Pensacola Christian

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – A dozen players scored and all 14 players saw time as the Huntingdon women's basketball team picked up a 69-35 win over Pensacola Christian on Monday.

The Lady Hawks (6-8) built a double-digit lead early and were able to substitute freely in a final tune-up before entering a four-game conference stretch beginning this weekend.

"We were able to play all of our girls tonight and try to get some of our players a little more experience as we prepare for the upcoming conference stretch," Huntingdon head coach Buzz Phillips said. "We have some big games coming up and it was good to see the girls come out and do what we needed to do tonight."

Patricia Pickens led the Lady Hawks with 12 points and nine rebounds and Katie Martin added nine points and nine rebounds.

Huntingdon travels to Wesleyan on Saturday for a Great South Athletic Conference game. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
