MARYVILLE, Tenn. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team hung with Maryville until late in the first half on Saturday. But the Scots used a big run late in the first half and into the second half to pull away for a 92-48 win.
Leading 36-31 with 3:37 left in the first half, Maryville (20-5, 13-3 USA South) blew the game open with a 46-7 run.
Pat Pickens led Huntingdon (15-9, 7-8 USA South) with 11 points and nine rebounds.
Huntingdon travels to LaGrange on Sunday for a 2 p.m. game. The winner will qualify for the USA South Athletic Conference tournament as the third team from the South Division.
