MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team fell behind early and lost to Greensboro 70-56 on Saturday in the USA South Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
The Lady Hawks (3-4) fell behind by 16 points late in the first half and trailed 37-27 at halftime. Greensboro (6-1) led by double digits the entire second half.
Pat Pickens led Huntingdon with 14 points, eight rebounds and four steals. Juliette Harp added 10 points and five rebounds and Jello Weatherspoon had eight points.
Huntingdon returns to conference play on Sunday, hosting Methodist. The game time has been changed from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
