Huntingdon closes out January with win over Judson

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team knocked off Judson 81-50 on Tuesday night at Roland Arena.

The Lady Hawks (15-5) jumped out to a 14-2 lead and were never threatened. Huntingdon led 22-7 at the end of the first period and 31-19 at halftime. Huntingdon built a 30-point lead in the third quarter and led by at least 27 points for the final 10 minutes.

Junior Juliette Harp turned in her eighth double-double of the season to lead Huntingdon with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Harp also had four blocked shots.

Sophomore Damali Thomas scored a career-high 12 points and had three assists. Seniors Jenna Dorman and Jello Weatherspoon each finished with 10 points. Junior Akeria Lamons added eight points and sophomore T.I. Duncan recorded seven assists, six rebounds and three steals.

Huntingdon returns to action at home on Saturday, hosting conference rival Piedmont at 4 p.m.
