Lady Hawks pull away early against Bob Jones
MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team took control early and rolled past Bob Jones University 73-57 on Saturday in the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.
The Lady Hawks opened the game with an 18-3 run and never looked back. Huntingdon led 34-15 at halftime and extended its lead to as much as 38 points, 65-27, in the second half.
Huntingdon junior Alex Lowery led all scorers with 19 points. Lowery was 5-for-9 from 3-point range and also had four assists. T.I. Duncan followed with 12 points and three assists and was 4-for-6 from 3-point range.
Juliette Harp picked up her third double-double in as many games with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Harp also had two blocks. Keturah Billen just missed a double-double with 10 points and eight rebounds.
Abiba Bernard added seven rebounds and six points and Destinee Washington had four assists. Mia Hudson finished with a team-high three steals.

Quick Fact: Alex Lowery and T.I. Duncan combined to hit 9-of-15 3-pointers against Bob Jones … This is the third straight season the Lady Hawks have started 3-0 … Huntingdon won its first four games last season.
Coming Up: Huntingdon returns to action in the Millsaps Thanksgiving Classic on Nov. 25-26. The Lady Hawks will play Louisiana College on Nov. 25 at 1 p.m.
