Lady Hawks come up short against Greensboro

DEMOREST, Ga. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team fell behind late and lost to Greensboro College 62-57 on Saturday in the Cancer Awareness Classic at Piedmont College.

A close game in which neither team led by more than six points in the first 26 minutes, Huntingdon pulled ahead to an 11-point lead, 44-33, with 2:49 left in the third quarter. But Greensboro answered and outscored the Lady Hawks 29-13 in the final 12:22 of the game.

Huntingdon led 46-45 at the end of three quarters before Greensboro took the lead for good with 5:33 to play in the game. The Pride extended its lead to as much as 12 points in the final three minutes and held off the Lady Hawks.

Senior Juliette Harp led Huntingdon with her 40th career double-double and finished with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Keturah Billen added 13 points and seven rebounds, T.I. Duncan followed with nine points and Mia Hudson pulled down 10 rebounds.
