Billen’s basket lifts Huntingdon over Covenant

LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, Ga. – Sophomore Keturah Billen scored with three seconds to play to help the Huntingdon women's basketball team get by Covenant 70-68 on Thursday.

Tied 68-68 with time running out, Billen scored her only points of the game on an assist from Juliette Harp to give the Lady Hawks the lead for good. Covenant called timeout with two seconds to play but was unable to get off a final shot.

T.I. Duncan led the Lady Hawks with a career-high 20 points and was 4-for-7 from 3-point range. Harp turned in her 12th double-double of the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds and also had four assists. Hannah Parks added 13 points

Huntingdon, which only trailed for 31 seconds in the game, led by as many as 11 points in the second half and held an eight-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Covenant cut the Lady Hawks' lead to a point with 5:47 to play.

Huntingdon answered and maintained its lead, but the Scots cut the lead to one point four times in the final six minutes and tied the game with 18 seconds to play to set up Billen's go-ahead basket.
