Lady Hawks stumble against Berea

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Huntingdon women's basketball team fell behind in the second quarter and could not recover in a 56-49 loss to Berea on Monday.

The Lady Hawks (7-2, 3-1 USA South) outscored the Mountaineers (6-2, 3-0 USA South) in three of the four quarters, but a big second quarter gave Berea the spark it needed. With Huntingdon leading 18-15 early in the second quarter, the Mountaineers closed the first half with a 23-9 run.

Huntingdon played from behind for the remainder of the game.

Freshman Kassidy Crawford led all scorers with 13 points. Senior T.I. Duncan recorded a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds and also had five assists and four blocks. Alex Lowery finished with nine points and Shaonica Thomas added eight points. Mia Hudson had six rebounds.
