Duncan’s 33 points spark Lady Hawks against LaGrange

LAGRANGE, Ga. – Senior T.I. Duncan scored a career-high 33 points to help lead the Huntingdon women's basketball team past LaGrange College 72-62 on Saturday.

The Lady Hawks (11-4, 5-3 USA South) led for most of the game but could not put LaGrange (8-7, 3-4 USA South) away until the final two minutes. Leading 66-62 with two minutes to play, Huntingdon used baskets from Shaonica Thomas and Duncan and two free throws from Alex Lowery to seal the win.

Duncan's 33 points are tied for the fourth most in a game by a Lady Hawk during the NCAA era. Pat Pickens set the program's NCAA-era record with 37 points against Rust College in 2014.

In addition to her 33 points, Duncan led both teams with eight rebounds, five assists and five steals and finished 13-of-19 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line.

Behind Duncan, Thomas finished with 12 points and Lowery added 11 points.

Notable: Two Lady Hawks are among the USA South Athletic Conference's leaders in field-goal percentage this season. Shaonica Thomas leads the conference with a 59.2 field-goal percentage (71-for-120) and T.I. Duncan is third at 55.5 percent (81-for-146).
